Engstingen with the districts Großengstingen, Kleinengstingen and Kohlstetten is situated between Reutlingen and Zwiefalten. It lies 700 m above sea level and has 5,228 inhabitants. Not to believe what was driving on our streets 50 years ago. The Car-museum in Engstingen offers a time journey between 1945 and 1959. The visitors will experience 150 post-war veterans which might awake some memories. The baroque Catholic church St. Martin in the district of Großengstingen, built in 1719 by Franz Beer is also worth a visit. In Engstingen is the Kohlstetter Peace tree, which was planted in the spring of 1871 due to the end of the Franco-German War of 1870-71. It was declared as a natural monument in 1940 due to the nature conservation law of nature and landscape.
