Sonnenbühl (700 - 880 m above sea level, 6.980 inhabitants) is situated in the heart of the Swabian Alb 15 km south of Reutlingen. In the middle of the beautiful natural landscape with its characteristic valley, you find the entrances to the largest stalactite show caves of the region: the bear and Karlscave at Erpfingen as well as the fog cave, they are all worth to visit.
Directly at the bear cave is the fairy-tale and recreational park "Traumland", which is fascinating with fairy-tale forest, a big wheel, pony rides, jumping-tower, railway and much more, which will make every child happy.
With the "Sonnenbühler Bobbahn", a summer bob sleigh, you will be able to ride 1,3 km in a speedy ride down through the valley. A comprehensive collection of eggs from all over the world presents the first German Easter Museum in the health resort of Erpfingen. An air-conditioning path, a forestry trial, an 18-hole golf course and a ballooning station provide variety around Sonnenbühl. Ski lifts, ski trails and groomed cross-country ski runs offer also opportunities for winter sports. Sonnenbühl is for the rest of the year a good starting point for beautiful walks and bike tours.
